AWARDS

VisionTV, its programming and its staff have been recognized many times for demonstrating a commitment to diversity.

Among the awards received over the past decade: the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews Human Rights Award (1994); the Friend of Women in Film and Television – Toronto Award (1996); the Urban Alliance on Race Relations 25th Anniversary Award (2000); and the Canadian Ethnic Journalists' and Writers' Club award, given to Executive Producer Sadia Zaman for her work on the current affairs series 360 Vision (2004).

For the past four years, documentaries produced in association with VisionTV have been honoured at the Geminis with the Canada Award. This prize recognizes outstanding mainstream television programming that reflects Canada's diversity.
